PRINTING SPECIFICATIONS
There are many different ways
to print artwork onto a disc. These methods can be somewhat
difficult to understand. Following are the different
types, and a brief description to help you in creating
your artwork.
Artwork
Guidelines
In order to submit artwork, please
follow these guidelines:
- Save the artwork to a PC format
(for CD/R and DVD/R Printing). MAC is fine for replicated
disc printing (i.e. silkscreen and offset)
- Images
must be at least 300 dpi.
- Tonal
ranges must be between 15% - 85% for silkscreen and
offset printing.
- If artwork is created
in a higher version, please save the file down to
one of our versions listed
- Adobe Illustrator 9.0 (preferred)
- Adobe Photoshop 6.0
- Adobe Pagemaker 6.5
- Quark Xpress 4.2
- Corel Draw 8.0
- Outline all of your fonts/text
or include PC based fonts
- Save artwork as an .eps file
(helpful, but not necessary)
- Include
all of the resources, such as fonts and images
- CD-ROM artwork can be saved
as CMYK
or Pantone
Colors. CD/R artwork needs to be saved
as CMYK.
- Templates and a detailed list
of Artwork Specifications can be provided via email.
Compatibility/Formats
For in-house
printing on CD/R's and DVD/R's, our printers are attached
to PC compatible computers. However, we do have the
ability to read MAC files, but this does not mean we
have the ability to read MAC fonts.
