PRE-PRESS PRODUCTION/
DESIGNER
KOPY-RITE, a media duplicator,
has an immediate opening on our design and production
team. The pre-press/designer will accept artwork and/or
concepts from our customers and then use professional
graphics tools to combine or create artwork that will
be used in the finished product. Products include such
items as CD/DVD labels and booklets and tray cards.
Frequently, the designer will be asked to place customer's
artwork into templates or provide pre-press inspection
of existing art files prepared by clients. Other job
responsibilities would include: press checking outsourced
print work and creating internal marketing materials.
Once jobs are approved, the designer will work with
the production team to actually print the job.
A successful candidate will have
knowledge of PC and MAC. We generally use a PC platform
but MAC is required.
Specialized equipment is used
to print the artwork onto CD-R discs (recordable CD's).
The designer will be responsible for assisting (or running)
these printers as necessary, as well as running CD/R
duplication equipment.
This is a fast paced environment.
Knowledge of this industry is not required. Our primary
concern is that you have the same high standards we
do when it comes to professionally satisfying the customer.
There will be occasional meetings with clients as needed,
but most of the work is via phone, fax, and e-mail.
We offer a competitive benefit
package including health, dental, vision, and life insurance.
We also offer paid time off (including time in your
first year) and a SIMPLE IRA (small company 401K) through
Schwab with employer matching. Salaries are competitive
and based on experience.
KOPY-RITE encourages (or really
expects) individual contributions. We only employ those
that are self-starters that do not require constant
supervision. Employees receive plenty of support and
have plenty of latitude to experiment and learn. There
are lots of opportunities within the company, but only
for those that are willing to improve themselves and
the company.
We are located in Troy, off Maple
Road (15 Mile) between Rochester and Livernois.
When applying please include your
resume, a cover letter and your salary requirements.
