CD/R &
DVD/R Duplication (low volume, quick
turn)
CD-ROM
is a manufactured product; CD/R
and DVD/R
is a recorded product. While there are certainly differences
between them it now seems that most companies and consumers
have made the two indistinguishable (for further discussion,
see our technology
section).
CD/R is an ideal solution for
a variety of applications. They can be duplicated quickly
(usually within 24 hours) and can be labeled or printed
in a variety of ways with a variety of options. They
can be processed in short runs or in large volume. They
can be customized if necessary and updated if needed.
In short, they are extremely versatile.
DVD/R is an increasingly requested
format to be copied and distributed due to its capability
to hold approximately seven times the amount of data
than a CD/R. Just
like CD/R's, DVD/R's are extremely versatile and allow
you to do much smaller runs. There are two
types of recordable DVD's: DVD-R (called minus-R) and
DVD+R (called plus R), and we can produce both of them.
There is a technical difference, although some would
argue there is no practical difference when considering
distribution. Our position can be found in the
Technology section under DVD/R
.
There are three general options
to consider when selecting a CD/R or DVD/R for production:
size, manufacturer, and print
options. Our
Standard Price Sheet covers many of these options.
